Well hung!

Well, we have a hung parliament – and yes, it’s well hung.

Labout lost about 90 seats, Conservatives gained about 95 seats, and the Lib Dems lost about 5 (which all seems very odd given Nick Clegg’s rallying of fate since the start of the TV debates).

The Conservatives do not have enough seats to make a solid go of it on their own in the House of Commons – so they will have to look at an aliance, and, as predicted, Nick Clegg is likely to be Kingmaker.

Nick Clesg said, during the electoral campaign, that the British people would make up their minds and, because in effect they couldn’t in enough numbers, the crown falls to his head.

I guess we won’t really have any statements until Monday, unless we have a brief statement of affairs to calm the jittery stock markets.
